- Synopsis
- The plot revolves around a publisher’s discovery of a masterpiece in a library which hangs onto manuscripts rejected by publishers. The novel has been written by Henri Pick, a pizza maker from Brittany who died two years earlier. However, according to his widow, Henri never read a book in his life and never wrote anything more than his daily shopping list. Is it a hoax? Shrouded in mystery, the novel becomes a bestseller. A famous literary critic then decides to head up an investigation, with the unexpected help of the daughter of the enigmatic Henri Pick.
