- Synopsis
- Jung has found his place in the world working at a morgue. His coexistence with corpses and blood seems to go by with a very strange naturalness. While Jung struggles against tuberculosis and arthritis, the dead start to become his only friends. The director, Jeon Kyu-hwan, does an authentic balancing act on the thin line separating delirium from reality. Dancing bodies, humans that feel like monsters and an unease depicted with the now classic oriental poetics that don’t understand pain without beauty. The weight of existence captured in a true visual wonder.
