Synopsis
Aesthetics of a Bullet features an anti-hero, a small-time c(r)ook, who sells rabbits on street corners to better his meager salary, which he gambles and drinks away. His attitude frequently gets him into trouble with loan sharks and yakuza thugs.

He dreams to become a successful big-shot, a part of the affluent society of Japan's economic miracle he witnesses in the streets of Tokyo every day. To realize this dream he changes sides and employs as a yakuza hitman.

Leaving his shabby Tokyo flat, his rabbits and his unglamorous girl-friend behind, his first job gets him a gun and a thick bundle of cash and takes him to Kyushu. There he begins his new life, the life of a yakuza big-shot, spending his money in nightclubs and on women, big-mouthing his nights through drinking sprees and rehearsing his acting skills as a yakuza in front of hotel mirrors during the day. When he's attacked by a lowly yakuza thug, the local yakuza boss, mistaking him for the big-shot he's faking, pays his respects and offers him the opportunity to kill the man as a compensation. But there are things that can't be faked...
