- Synopsis
- An intriguing portrait of a Vietnamese mail-order bride. Lulu works behind a cosmetics counter in a department store, but behind her immaculate facade, she conceals a terrible past and a troubled present. Frustrated by her traditional parents who blame her for their unhappiness, Lulu is pursued by her seedy, ineffectual husband, Lucky, his opportunistic friend, Clive, and a persistent documentary filmmaker in search of her story. As the chain of desire that binds these three men unravels, Lulu eludes them all, her secrets intact.
