- Synopsis
- In Nazareth, at the troubled times of Roman occupied Palestine, Mary is a seemingly ordinary, spirited 16-year-old girl, who counts her blessings when her parents arrange to marry her to a local carpenter, Joseph. He may be older, and have simple ways, but Joseph has a good heart. But when she falls pregnant, supposedly a virgin, she brings shame upon her family and the threat of death upon herself. At her father's desperate plea, Joseph nevertheless agrees to save Mary by allowing her to travel with him to a faraway town... Bethlehem. Meanwhile wise scholars watching the movements of the stars, realise that an ancient prophecy is about to be fulfilled, the coming of the Messiah. Just as their courage and faith seems tested to the limit, their paths converge in the unlikeliest of places and suddenly, it seems that the impossible might just be possible after all...
