- In the icy heart of the breathtakingly beautiful winter landscape of Kiruna, Viktor Strandgård dies for the second time. He is lying on his back in the Kraftkälla Church, looking through the enormous windows in the ceiling as life is fading away. The aurora borealis slithers like a dragon through the night skies when the story about religious and sexual dominance begins in the northernmost regions of Sweden above the Arctic Circle. Rebecka Martinsson, a young single and successful lawyer, receives a telephone call from Sanna, a childhood friend. She has found her own brother, the spiritual leader of an evangelical church group, brutally murdered in the middle of the church aisle.
