- TV series (2016). 13 Episodes. Year 2620 AD. Hizamaru and the rest of the Annex I crew, 95 humans trained and enhanced through the synthetic metamorphosis procedure, land on Mars with the objective of obtaining a specimen of Terra Formar, cockroaches that have undergone an unusual evolution into humanoids. It is believed that this mission will allow them to synthesize a vaccine for the Alien Engine Virus, a pathogen native to the red planet with a 100% mortality rate. But just then an unexpected accident occurs and the Terra Formars take the opportunity to launch an attack while humanity fights against itself from behind closed doors. Thus begins a new extreme struggle for survival on the planet Mars.
