- Synopsis
- John Woo's Chaplin film. Dean Shek plays a tramp who swindles his way through life. Always looking behind his shoulder as he cheats, lies and steals just to survive. During a botched scheme, he meets a Kid and the two quickly become friends and travelling companions. All this comes to a quick end when the evil Karl Maka comes upon the scene. He kidnaps the Kid and as his goons throttle The Tramp. The Tramp comes across a Drunk (Wu Ma). He wants revenge on Karl for what he did to him years ago. The two team up to try and defeat Karl and his gang. John Woo shot this film old school Chaplin style. A funny and entertaining harmless comedy.
