The Hangover Part II

Comedy Alan (Zach Galifianakas), Stu (Helms) and Phil (Bradley Cooper) awake in another hotel room, unable to remember what's gone down. Again. But this time they're in Thailand with Doug (Justin Bartha), with the trail of mayhem taking in monks, monkeys, a schlong of ladyboys... and Chow, of course.

Rolling Stone
"Take the same ingredients, add a new location – Bangkok replaces Vegas – and history repeats itself. Except it doesn't. The Hangover Part II isn't a total bummer (...) Rating: ★★ (out of 4)"
United Kingdom
Empire
"According to Phillips, the 'Part II' in the title is a nod to the second Godfather, which matched the genius of its forerunner. Ironically, his own sequel offer is one you should refuse. (...) Rating: ★★ (out of 5)"

Variety
"The rote professionalism on display verges on cynicism, and despite some occasional sparks, this ranks as a considerable disappointment"

"The Hangover, Part II" plays like a challenge to the audience's capacity for raunchiness (...) Alan (Zach Galifianakis), the character who stole much of the original 2009 film, walks off with a lot of this one, too (...) Rating: ★★ (out of 4)"
United States
The Washington Post
"The Hangover Part II offers absolutely nothing new to fans of the first film (...) Rating: ★ (out of 4)"
United States
IndieWire
"A lazy, unpleasant & unfunny mess (...) Our guess is that moviegoers will feel just like the main characters: lost, confused, disappointed, and desperately trying to move on"
United States
The Hollywood Reporter
"What happens in Bangkok isn’t as much fun as when it happened in Vegas, but it’s still worth the trip"
United States
Los Angeles Times
"Oh, what a headache-inducing, unapologetic money grab we have in 'The Hangover Part II' (...) You’ll be more inclined to groan than giggle."
United Kingdom
The Guardian
"[It] seeks only to repeat almost every element of the first movie. It's not a sequel, closer to a shot-for-shot remake (…) Rating: ★ (out of 5)"
