United States
IndieWire
"A tasty rreat for fans both new and old (...) [It] has jokes enough to appeal to anyone, even if its plot is a little undercooked."
United States
Variety
"The beloved sitcom's feature debut doesn't dish out any surprises — and no one will mind a bit."
United States
Slant
"'The Bob’s Burgers Movie' pulls off the tricky task of expanding the scope of the show enough so that it feels cinematic without losing the source material’s fundamentally playful spirit (...) Rating: ★★★ (out of 4)"
United States
Collider
"The Belchers continue to be one of the most lovely and hilarious families in entertainment (...) 'The Bob’s Burgers Movie' knows what this series does well and embraces it fully"
United States
AV Club
"It isn’t a top-tier Bob’s story, but with some of the most beloved characters in cartoon history finally reaching the big screen, it’s a perfectly lovely chance to have some real fun in theaters."
United States
Los Angeles Times
"One of the funniest, smartest and most unique summer movies of the year, the kind of lighthearted, charming, low-stakes and incredibly intelligent entertainment that is all too rare"
United States
Austin Chronicle
"'The Bob's Burgers Movie' is a goddamn delight, very funny, and so sweet and charming"
United States
Ready Steady Cut
"'The Bob's Burgers Movie' is a delightfully weird and awkward breath of fresh air (…) Rating: ★★★½ (out of 5)"

The Hollywood Reporter
"'The Bob’s Burgers Movie' effectively recreates the show’s winning combination of irreverent humor and heartwarming family dynamics (...) [It] well satisfy devotees"
United States
SlashFilm
"It takes a while for the plot to kick in and it drags out the conflict, heightening the stakes to ludicrous degrees (...) It [has] joyful musical songs, dark turns [and it reaffirms] why we always come back to the Belcher family"
Canada
Screen Rant
"'The Bob's Burgers Movie' struggles to keep up the energetic pace set early on, but overall packs in plenty of jokes and musical numbers for a fun time."
United States
The Playlist
"Like the series that birthed it,'The Bob’s Burgers Movie' delights in being many things at once: a musical, a murder mystery, a coming of age story about the awkward years. Its biggest disappointment lies in its songs"
United Kingdom
The Guardian
"As much as Bouchard had to think about how to turn 'Bob's Burgers' into a movie, he insists on staying true to the personal eccentricities and small-scale observational humor that makes the show great (…) Rating: ★★★★ (out of 5)"
United States
Deadline
"Of course, this movie is full of witty songs and merriment to match the mystery and action. The script is deadpan witty, and the old-fashioned 2D animated visual style is right on the money"
United States
The Wrap
"Fans will get a kick out of all of the easter eggs and callbacks. And newcomers will enjoy the animated movie for what it is, a fun summer movie adventure with a Scooby-Doo-like mystery thrown in"
United States
Time Out
"An animated sitcom that's knowing, funny and, well, a bit nuts (...) It's incredibly good-natured, the voice cast is fun and the hit rate of gags is high (…) Rating: ★★★★ (out of 5)"
United States
rogerebert.com
"A hard movie to dislike (...) It's nice to see 'The Bob's Burgers Movie' stay true to its roots while also pushing its characters out of their comfort zones ever so slightly (…) Rating: ★★★ (out of 4)"
United Kingdom
Empire
"Amped up for the big screen while maintaining its sense of heart and with lashings of charm and gentle comedy, [it] proves more than worthy of the feature treatment (…) Rating: ★★★★ (out of 5)"
United Kingdom
NME
"Substantial enough to justify its runtime and manages to supersize the show's appealing recipe without diluting its flavour. It's a meaty treat that fans and newcomers alike can devour with relish (…) Rating: ★★★★ (out of 5)"
Canada
Screen Anarchy
"Devotees will leave feeling sated, neophytes will have a new favorite show and an exciting journey ahead of them catching up on what they've missed. What more can you ask for?"
