- Synopsis
- TV Miniseries (2016). 2 Episodes. Basque Country, 1980s. In an atmosphere of tension and fear, where the abertzale harassment and ETA violence are a constant, Eloy (Quim Gutiérrez) is a young civil guard who has just asked for a transfer to the barracks of Intxaurrondo, in San Sebastián. There he finds a hostile environment that wreaks havoc among his colleagues: alcoholism, depression, suicides. The so-called "Northern Syndrome". Eloy has left his wife Mercedes in Madrid, six months pregnant. She waits every night for his calls to know that everything is all right, that he is still alive. He reassures her because he loves her and misses her, but he does not tell her about Begoña, the owner of the pension where he is staying: a young and sensitive girl who helps him to overcome his loneliness without asking questions, believing he is a Telefónica employee. Eloy will live a double life, but what he does not know is that the greatest danger will come from the side he least expects.
