- Synopsis
- Rémy, a young architect based in Paris, is sent to Shanghai to finish the construction of a concert venue, after a colleague in charge falls ill. Once his job is finished, he’s to work in the company’s new Shanghai agency for a three-year term. It’s an assignement he can’t refuse without the risk of losing his job, and a difficult one « to sell » to his wife. Marine is at first reluctant to give up everything and go with her husband and son to the ends of the earth, but she’s finally persuaded to give the adventure a try. Settled in a village of the Frehcn Concession in Shanghai, the little family has to quickly adapt to a new way of life. With the help of Christophe, a French neighbour married to a chinese woman, Xavier, a young night-club owner and a few other French expats, the family starts to find its feet.
