- Light, pleasantly told story of a Welsh village postman's successful and ingenious efforts to bring happiness back into the lives of an assortment of people--quarrelling newlyweds, rich and snobbish widow, bereaved wife--during their stay at a local inn, ending with one of the guests dramatically restoring use of paralyzed legs to school-master son of the inn hostess and thereby encouraging him to go ahead with marriage plans.
