- Synopsis
- Ciglia (Camilla Horn) is a young woman living in a tiny village in the Swiss Alps. Her village has been occupied by the French, and all of the villagers have surrendered their guns. Only Marcus (John Barrymore) refuses to turn in his gun, keeping rebellion burning in his heart. Marcus and Ciglia harbor a burning love, which is nearly destroyed by the meddling courtships and eventual marriages initiated by lesser suitors. Even by taking different paths, Ciglia and Marcus cannot be separated, and eventually they must face destiny.
