- Synopsis
- Yonetaro Katakana is a a rough-and-tumble horse trader in Japan's rugged northernmost territory of Hokkaido. He gets into fights, and he drinks and gambles his earnings away on a regular basis. Just before she dies of illness, his wife makes him promise to amend his ways in order to take care of their baby son Daihei.
