Synopsis

The story revolves around the mighty and wealthy Alonso Miranda, the powerful boss of a city called Puerto Caliente. Despite his fortune, Miranda is not a man of rank, but a "new rich". So after getting the coveted social status, he seeks for Victoria Escalante's love, whose family is very noble but, conversely, is riddled with economic hardship. The whole plot is set in a fictional town from the subtropical northern Argentina, where illicit business mix as smuggling and illegal gambling.
