- Synopsis
- A story based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's short story 'A Gentle Creature', transferred from 19th-century Russia to present-day Vietnam. Thien sits over the body of his young wife, who has just committed suicide, and recalls their relationship. Gentle and sensitive Linh grew up in a home where she wasn't treated well. Thien decided to marry her in order to give her a better life. They were happy at first. With time, Linh's husband demanded more devotion and obedience. Harshness, a lack of feelings and communication made them grow apart. Mental abuse and growing loneliness led Linh to her tragic end. Starring Vietnamese-American actor Dustin Nguyen as Thien and newcomer Nguyen Thanh Tu as his wife.
