- Synopsis
- This new film from acclaimed director Olivier Dahan is a touching look at the friendships and family relationships that life is made up of. Multiple award-winning French actress Isabelle Huppert (La Pianiste – winner of Best Actress at Cannes) portrays Sylvie, a prostitute who is forced to leave town with her illegitimate daughter when her daughter commits a crime. They flee to the countryside, where Sylvie is in search of her very first love. As she tries to find him and get close to him again, her own daughter attempts to get to know her mother as they journey together towards the unknown. On the way, they meet another young man who is on the run from the law, and the trio bonds, bringing hope and meaning to their lives.
