Synopsis

The action begins at Karasuyama in the beautiful Shimotsuke Province, as this exciting and romantic tale unfurls with the joining of two of Japan's major stars, the ever-popular Misora Hibari and handsome screen idol Hayashi Yoichi (best known in the west as Yagyu Gumbei in the 4th Baby Cart movie). When Sir Saeki kills his father, Sentaro takes up arms and cuts him down. Sentaro, a commoner, was taught swordsmanship by Sir Ittosai, a master martial artist, and must take to the road after the incident. The fireworks truly begin when he meets Oshima, a singer from the Juzo Troupe with a drinking problem. This movie excellent movie is clearly a cut above the rest with some of the finest acting and action yet from Toei Studios.
