- Synopsis
- "Mazurka" was Willi Forst's third film as a director, made directly after having achieved a major international success with "Maskerade". This time, Forst chose to make a drama based on an allegedly real murder case. A young and unexperienced music student (Theek) is courted by a famous pianist (Albrecht Schönhals), but just when she is about to fall for him, the pianist is shot by an unknown woman (Negri). At the court trial, the woman finally tells her own story and the reason for the crime she committed, and a complex family tragedy is unveiled…
