- Mostaganem, 200km from Algiers on the coast. Hassan, a people smuggler, prepares to take another group of illegal immigrants across to Spain. Four friends and six "burners" from southern Algeria, who largely finance the crossing, will make the trip. HARRAGAS is the odyssey of a group that illegally crosses the Mediterranean aiming for southern Spain, gateway to the coveted European Eldorado.
