- Synopsis
- The story’s main character is Olya, a vivacious and independent blonde who steps through the mirror into a strange world where she meets Yalo, her own double or reflection, who becomes her travel companion in the Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors. The kingdom is ruled by a foolish and ignorant king and his cruel and manipulative prime minister who force their subjects to make reality-distorting mirrors that reflect the opposite of people: that make the beautiful ugly and vice-versa. However, a rebellious boy refuses to manufacture these mirrors and is sentenced to death. Olya and Yalo help the boy escape the Tower of Death where he awaits his execution. The girls help to bring down the oppressing power and also have a hand in sparking a revolution that transforms the kingdom into a free and happy place. Olya then goes back to her own world.
