- May 30th. 1992, Alfonso Martin del Campo's sister and brother in law were killed. Alfonso was detained illegally by Mexico's City authorities, as a likely responsible for the two killings, through acts of torture, the authorities forced him to confess to the killings. From the obtained confession, the authorities produced the evidence to support the accusation. Unfortunately Alfonso ran into the inefficiency, corruption, and brutality of Mexican justice and without more evidence he was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Alfonso has been imprisoned for 20 years and is still in the fight for justice. This is his story.
