- Synopsis
- The Doctor joins the Brigadier and Jo Grant in South Wales to investigate the death of a miner, his skin glowing bright green. Jo joins forces with a local environmental group, while the Doctor investigates the nearby plant of a company called Global Chemicals. Down the mine workings he discovers thousands of maggots surrounded by poisonous slime. Produced by chemical waste pumped from the plant, the maggots are on the point of pupating into giant insects! And when Mike Yates goes in undercover, he discovers that Global Chemicals' director is not just unscrupulous: he's inhuman.
