Parece mentira, sinceramente, que este film esté llevado por David Lynch. Una de las historias mejor contadas y mejor dirigidas que he podido ver jamás. No voy a entrar en comparaciones con el producto de Lynch, de hecho, e independientemente, ojalá no hubiera visto una película suya jamás. Toda su obra podría haber comenzado y terminado aquí, la calidad de “El hombre elefante” le hubiera ensalzado a genio y su obra, de maestra.
Cruda pero conmovedora historia, fea y atractiva al mismo tiempo, trágica pero embriagadoramente cálida. La sinceridad con que se va desarrollando la historia es de una belleza narrativa e interpretativa que te deja boquiabierto, consiguiendo que, al terminar el film, en tu cabeza sólo se escuche una frase sin parar: ¡Que viva el cine!
