Synopsis
Three American lovelies room together in Madrid and all manage to get themselves into seemingly unhappy relationships with fellows. 20th Century-Fox gussied up its 1954 hit "Three Coins In The Fountain" and the result was "The Pleasure Seekers." In it, three American girls in search of wealthy husbands head for Madrid. Ann-Margret is an aspiring performer, Carol Lynley is a secretary, and Pamela Tiffin an art student. Margret gets the most screen time (and has a great dance number, 'Everything Makes Music When You're in Love', on a Spanish beach) as she pines for a local medic, while Lynley falls for her boss and Tiffin makes a play for aloof playboy Franciosa. Shot in lush Cinemascope with lots of sexy costume changes and songs by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn. Typical in many ways of the "swinging sixties" youth pictures created by the big studios at the time as they were losing their more mature audiences.
