- Synopsis
- The film takes place in 1806. Prussia is in the Fourth Coalition War against the French army of Napoleon Bonaparte, and the Prussian army is on the verge of defeat. On the Saale, they are faced with a French superiority. The army is in retreat. In order to secure this retreat, replaced Captain Burk ordered to occupy a mill on Reiner Moor and secure the withdrawal of the Prussian army. Burk are only twelve men available to stop Bonaparte Army. The Müller flees with his wife before the advancing French. Only daughter Dore remains at Burk and his men as they fell in love with the officer.
The fight begins, and the men throw themselves desperately in this deadly adventure. The skirmish is not to win for the little troop, yet they manage to keep the mill until the Prussian army crossed the Saale and is safe. When the Prussians have crossed the bridge over the Saale, they blow up the bridge and thus take Burk and his men the only retreat. As the French soldiers finally take the mill, they discover the dead captain and twelve dead soldiers. Also Dore has come in the struggle for life.- Movie Soulmates' ratings
