- Synopsis
- "Julia and Fernando, A Life Story" started as a tribute to sociologists Julia Varela and Fernando Álvarez-Uría. Nevertheless, They did not agree with presenting them in hagiographic terms and contributing to current self-centered culture. Their philosophy of life is governed by two principles: firstly that we are no one without those who preceded us, those who accompany us on the journey and those who come after us; and secondly that it is necessary to create a society by establishing social bonds that contribute to changing of the world. With these principals in mind, this documentary became a collective testimony by a part of the 1968 generation that took part in Spanish Transition with the intent to inspire the new generation.
