"To Write Love on Her Arms" is based on the true story of Florida teenager Renee Yohe (played by Kat Dennings), whose struggle with addiction and abuse inspired the creation and 2006 launch of the non-profit organization To Write Love on Her Arms. In a creative blend of artistic fantasy, music and confrontation with harsh reality, Renee discovers the value of genuine friendships and embarks on a daunting, yet courageous journey towards recovery.
